Woman gets sick after eating pizza described as gluten-free (With VIDEO)

A Connecticut woman, who suffers from Celiac disease, said she got sick after ordering a pizza that she thought was gluten-free. The pizza, as it turned out, had breaded eggplant hidden under the cheese.

Pizzerias across the country are tapping into the gluten-free market. It’s not enough to merely offer gluten-free menu items. Your staff must be extensively trained on preparing them and cross-contamination prevention, as well as a thorough understanding of this dietary limitation and Celiac disease.
