The donation also introduces Sal’s new 14-inch pizza, which is crafted to provide authentic, old world Italian pizza at a price that families can afford. This effort marks the start of Sal’s Pizza’s new partnership with Little League programs across the region, highlighting the company’s commitment to youth sports, community engagement, and supporting the development of student-athletes.
“Opening Day is one of the most special moments of the year for kids and families,” said Sal Lupoli Jr., Growth & Strategy Director of Sal’s Pizza. “We’re thrilled to be part of that excitement while introducing our new 14-inch pizza, designed to deliver both quality and real value to local communities. This is about more than pizza. It’s about showing up for our communities, investing in kids, and creating opportunities for the next generation to succeed—on and off the field.”
Beyond Opening Day, Sal’s Pizza is launching a broader season-long initiative to support Little League players and teams, including:
- Exclusive player discounts at participating Sal’s Pizza locations
- Fundraising night opportunities for local teams
- Revenue giveback programs, where a portion of sales is donated back to participating leagues
“Massachusetts Little League is excited with the opportunity to partner with Sal’s Pizza,” said John Berardi, State Director of Massachusetts Little League. “The collaboration will help many Little League programs across the state. At the heart of Little League are the players, families and volunteers of each community. We are grateful to the Lupoli family, who recognize the importance of the community and the role that Little League Baseball and Softball play, which extends well beyond the ballfields.”
The initiative continues the Lupoli family’s long-standing commitment to sports and community. Sal Lupoli Sr., a former Northeastern University football player and founder of Sal’s Pizza, has championed local programs for decades, from revitalizing the Riverwalk in Lawrence to supporting youth initiatives across the region.
Continuing that legacy, Sal Lupoli Jr., a Chelmsford native, Division II All-American linebacker at Bentley University, and former professional player who spent time with the New England Patriots, sees this initiative as a way to give back to the youth who benefit from sports the same way he did.
With over 170 locations, Sal’s Pizza continues to expand its footprint while remaining grounded in its mission: serving real, high-quality food while strengthening the communities it calls home.
