Pizza Margherita-American Style

Ingredients
- 1 pizza shell, about 12 inches in diameter
- 8 ounces canned pizza sauce or pizza puree
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 18 leaves (or more, relative to size)
- 8 ounces whole-milk mozzarella, shredded
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over pizza shell
- Sprinkle oregano evenly over sauce
- Arrange half of the basil leaves over sauce
- Sprinkle on shredded mozzarella
- Drizzle on olive oil over cheese
- Bake pizza until done
- Arrange remaining basil leaves over pizza just before serving
