Hot chicken — that spicy, breaded goodness now found in just about every city — has become increasingly popular. We took some from Royals Hot Chicken right here in Louisville, Kentucky, and crafted a pizza that will be a showstopper on any menu.

Ingredients
- 14-ounce doughball
- 3 hot chicken tenders, cubed
- ½ cup creamy coleslaw (recipe to follow)
- ¼ cup Ranch dressing
- ½ cup smoked Gouda, shredded
- ¼ cup mozzarella, shredded
- sliced pickles as garnish
Instructions
- Stretch out doughball on 14-inch screen and top with Ranch dressing.
- Add coleslaw and top with smoked Gouda.
- Evenly spread the hot chicken around the pizza.
- Top with shredded mozzarella and bake at 425 F until brown.
- Serve with pickle slices as garnish.

Creamy Coleslaw for the Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza

Ingredients
- ½ head green cabbage, finely shredded
- ½ head purple cabbage, finely shredded
- 2 large carrots, finely shredded
- ¾ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 2 tablespoons grated red onion
- 2 tablespoons sugar, or to taste
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 teaspoon onion salt
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, onion, sugar, vinegar, mustard, and celery and onion salts.
- Add the cabbages and carrots and toss well to coat.
- Add a bit more mayo if the mixture seems dry.
