Get Chris Decker’s Truffle and Honey Pizza Recipe
One of my all-time favorite snacks from childhood was cheese and crackers. As I got older, I started making plates for myself and adding sauces or dips with different accoutrements. The combination of cheese and truffle honey or a truffle cheese and regular honey has quickly become a favorite of mine. For this pizza, I combine a beautiful truffle Romano and hay-smoked provola with a delicious acacia honey from Italy, a little black pepper and fresh thyme. Here is what you will need:

Recipe type: Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 dough ball for a 12-inch pizza
- 2 ounces shredded whole-milk mozzarella
- 2 ounces thinly shaved Moliterno al Tartufo
- 1.5 ounces provola
- Acacia honey
- 1 sprig fresh thyme
- Cracked black pepper
Instructions
- Stretch dough ball to desired size.
- Top with shredded mozzarella and provola.
- Bake at 550 F for 8-10 minutes.
- When pizza is finished cooking, spread the thinly sliced truffle cheese over the top and add a couple cranks of fresh black pepper and thyme.
- Finally, drizzle 2 teaspoons of acacia honey over the top.
