The show kicks of with the No. 10 spot: the Sicilian at Metro Pizza in Las Vegas. The the show moves to Grandma Bob‘s Lobster Roll Pizza in Detroit.

Independent pizza guide 50 Top Pizza announced its annual list of the best pizzerias in the United States during an awards ceremony held May 27 in New York City. The honorees included Marisol Doyle from Leña Pizza + Bagels in Cleveland, Mississippi, as Pizza Maker of the Year and Andrew Bellucci’s Pizzeria in Queens, New York, as New Entry of the Year.

TasteAtlas scanned over 12,700 ratings from the TasteAtlas audience to find the 97 best pizzas in the world. A few American styles made the list. While the first 19 spots were secured by Italian style pizzas, New Haven Apizza ranked No. 20 and New York style ranked 22.
